I’m glad you found something fun to on your holy day. Those peepers are so loud, aren’t they? And water snakes are not venomous. They get mistaken for cottonmouths a lot, and are killed because of it. A lot of people assume any snake in water is a cottonmouth.
SO Loud! And thanks for the info on snakes. Yeah, that little lady seemed like she was minding her own business, doing her little snake thing -- even if she was a cottonmouth, I obviously wouldn’t want to hurt her, it’s her environment -- but she did come startlingly close to me, and I’m kinda glad to hear she wasn’t venomous. (She probably thought the same thing about me.)

Wonderful story.
Thank you!
R pointed out that the plague of frogs is in the singular - one giant frog! Too Good To Verify.
Ha! That is too good verify. Should have put a single drop of wine in the pools or something. Thanks!
P. S. It took me a while to focus. Also wonderful is your pic of the tiny peeper in the supporting hands of a human being!
Didn’t that little frog look like he was just completely chill with being admired for a bit? And then when he was done ... off he hopped.
Wonderful connections between the search for religious truths and the search for frogs.
Thanks! 💗
