OMG that cat is ADORABLE! I'm so sad you two had to part ways. Sending hugs.

Isn't he though? I mean THAT FACE! That's what my friend Angela says, that once he gets clean of parasites/other infections, he'll have no trouble getting adopted. Keep your fingers crossed.

Oh my dear, my heart is with you. Beautiful Butter-baby (I call all furry ones " baby") will easily find another home; It's so much better that it's not w you. You have contributed to their happiness simply by showing that people love cats & people can be trusted.

I love to foster cats & kittens at my place; I have 5 smol wild animals who live here temporarily.

They're siblings & they start purring as soon as they're touched. Please take a look at my Instagram @22205kittens to meet them. They're going up for adoption later this week.

If you're interested in adopting 1 or 2, let me know immediately - I may be able to help 😉

Thank you so much. In a moment of weakness I checked out the Instagram and I know all kitties are cute kitties but those are kitties come with an extra serving of cute. However, after I bring Butterscotch to the pet hospital on Wednesday, my next move is to go to my doctor and tell her about all the new parasites/pathogens we've just discovered I've been exposed to, go through the process of getting tested for them, and then going through treatment myself. I'm guessing it's gonna take a little while. I'll let you know?

Thanks again though.

"because everything in DC is 50% closer to a parody of itself than it should be..." Ain't that the truth! If you are paying attention and live here for a couple of decades you develop a store-house of quirky and personal stories and observations that can make life in DC entertaining and funny. You've reached that point. You are now a DC character or at least a character in DC.

I'm so sorry about Butterscotch, but honestly, there are plenty of bad pets available right here in DC, stop sending to importing difficult fur babies and just coax one off the street and into your home! (I'm not kidding, keep an eye out for street cat, I think that's more your style.)

I love the idea of becoming a DC character. :)

And that's so true about street cats. I adore Butterscotch but tbh from the very start I had a gut feeling that something was very wrong. I guess I'm glad we went through what we did together -- honestly I'm not sure anyone else would've put in the time and $$$ to track it all down -- and hopefully we have gotten the full list of parasites/weird viruses, etc. identified. I hope the animal hospital where he'll be staying can get him clean and healthy, and I hope my doctor can get my doctor can get me clean and healthy again too.

Next time, give me a street cat over these fancy semi-breeder Kuwaiti cats any day.

I hope you feel better soon to be able to give adoption a second chance, and this time I hope it works out for you. Thank you for starting the thread Hannah, I found you through the same thread and I am really glad about it. Looking forward to read many more of your newsletters.

Also I am a parent of two fur babies(cats), Maya and Vincent, and I have this recurring seasonal episode of hyper allergy which makes it difficult to be in close proximity to them for a few days. That’s make me extremely anxious because I am afraid that doctor might ask me to give them up, and I would rather die because they are now 4 years old and I raised them since they were 15 days old. So I really do understand your pain and despair.

Thanks so much Swarnali! Looking forward to reading your newsletter too, and I really appreciate your sympathy and support. Ooof, any time apart from our fur babies is tough, and yes, I definitely hope to adopt again. :)
